Quotes
Turn a draft order into a numbered quote, email it, and let the customer accept and pay online.
Quotes are made from Shopify draft orders. Add the products, custom prices, discounts and shipping to a draft order, and InvoiceHop turns it into a numbered quote with your design.
Create a quote
Two ways:
- On the draft order in Shopify, open More actions and choose Create quote. The window shows the quote's number, total and status, with a button to open it in InvoiceHop.
- In InvoiceHop, go to Quotes → New quote, find the draft order and click Create quote. No draft order yet? Create draft order in Shopify takes you there.
Send it
On the quote's page, click Email customer. Check the address, subject and message, then send: the quote PDF is attached. You can also download or print it. Quote emails go out through your own email server if you set one up in Settings → Invoice emails, otherwise through InvoiceHop.
The customer accepts
The quote and its email include an Accept and pay online link to Shopify's checkout for that draft order. When the customer pays, or when you complete the draft order yourself (for example on payment terms), it becomes a regular order: the quote shows Accepted with a link to the order, and InvoiceHop invoices the order like any other.
Follow up

The Quotes page lists every quote. Search by quote number, customer, email or draft order, and filter by status:
- Open: sent and still valid.
- Expiring this week: open quotes worth a reminder.
- Expired: past their validity date. The customer can still accept them.
- Accepted: the draft order became an order.
- Cancelled: the draft order was deleted in Shopify.
The Home page shows your open quotes and their value, quotes expiring this week, and how many were created and accepted in the period.
Numbers, validity and prices
- In Settings → Orders & invoicing → Quotes, set the prefix (Q by default, for example Q-2026-00001) and how many days a quote is valid (30 by default).
- Until it's accepted, a quote follows its draft order: edit the draft order in Shopify, then open the quote or click Sync with order to update it. The number and dates don't change.
- Quotes aren't invoices: they don't count toward your plan, have no e-invoice data and are never sent to a tax network.
- The validity date is printed on the quote, but Shopify's checkout link itself doesn't expire. Delete the draft order to stop a customer from paying an old quote.
