Business customers and VAT

Company and VAT details on the cart, Shopify B2B and EU reverse charge.

Business details on the cart page

Add the Business invoice details block to your cart page in the theme editor (on Home, click Add to cart page). Business buyers can enter their company name, VAT number, PO number and Peppol ID. They're printed on the invoice.

Shopify B2B

For Shopify B2B orders, InvoiceHop reads the company and its tax ID from Shopify automatically. Colleagues from the same company can download each other's invoices from their customer account.

EU VAT and reverse charge

With VIES checks on (Settings → E-invoicing), buyer VAT numbers are checked in the EU VIES database. Reverse charge is printed only when the number is valid and the goods ship to another EU country.

Shopify calculates the VAT charged at checkout. To stop charging VAT to EU businesses, mark them as tax-exempt in Shopify.
